Ash Manor School is a successful 11–16 mixed comprehensive judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in its most recent inspection and is now on a journey to becoming outstanding. The English department is very well resourced and respected across the school.  During the recent Ofsted inspection the strength of leadership in the department was recognised as was the significant impact of the department on students’ experience in English.

We are seeking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic teacher.  The department is at an exciting point in its growth and there is the possibility for the right candidate to make a significant impact as part of the whole school Learning and Teaching team, leading CPD and research, as well as the possibility for career progression within the department.

You must be highly motivated and demonstrate high professional standards.  You will support the development of learning and teaching across the department, and the wider school, ensuring that the curriculum area provides a range of teaching methods that complement the school’s strategic objectives and builds upon the success already achieved.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who:

  • Is passionate about English and is keen to improve standards across all year groups.
