An opportunity has arisen to join us as a Teacher of English with Lead Teacher of Literacy available; we can offer this post as either full time or part time hours. This position would suit an experienced teacher who is looking to work within an outstanding, collaborative and dynamic department.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and dynamic teacher who is committed to ensuring every child is stretched and challenged to reach their full potential.

We are proud of our students; their behaviour is excellent, and they want to learn and be successful.

We would give you an induction and support programme. You will have access to regular CPL, which is designed and delivered by colleagues who understand the school and our aims. You will have regular opportunities to collaborate with other colleagues in our successful Teaching and Learning sessions and we have a commitment to our teachers’ professional development – we currently have 27 teachers who have either completed, or are completing, National Professional Qualifications!

We are a small, happy school, in the heart of Thornton, with around 870 students on roll and have been oversubscribed for 13 years.
