At the Ormiston New Academy we believe that a focus on ensuring that all students feel nurtured and cared for without exception will lead to the highest attainment. The Academy are a family of truly dedicated and inspiring staff and fabulously dynamic, motivated and willing students.

The Academy caters for 11 to 19 year olds and currently has 750 students on roll. From September 2017 the Academy became part of the Ormiston Academy Trust. Being part of OAT will mean being part of a wider network of 30+ academies providing many benefits and bring many enrichment opportunities to the students and staff.

As an Academy we are involved in wide range of partnerships, working closely with City and Guilds to become the first National Hub for 14-16 provision. Working closely with PiXL, our staff are leading national strategy and influencing practice elsewhere. We also work in partnership with local Primary Schools and the University. These partnerships enable the Academy to achieve the vision of an all through provision serving the local community and wider.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational individual to join our supportive and well-resourced English department. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering English to KS3, KS4 and KS5 with a proven track record of student progress performance and attainment. 

This is an ideal and exciting opportunity for someone who has the drive, energy and enthusiasm to work with the existing team with a view to continuing to build on the progress already made. You will have the opportunity to contribute to an exciting curriculum, which will help motivate our students to achieve beyond their potential.
