We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of English. The appointed person will be teaching whole classes of Year 7 English and leading small phonics intervention groups across the relevant year groups. By applying for this exciting post the chosen applicant will join a successful and supportive team in a well-established department that provides a well-planned and fully resourced curriculum. This post provides an excellent opportunity for more experienced teachers including KS2 teachers who would like to make the transition into Secondary. This is an exciting chance to have an impact on planning for that transition through leading this area of the curriculum and establishing a strong phonics intervention programme. The appointed person will be required to teach English at Year 7 and all ability ranges. We have a range of departmental initiatives which provide opportunities for the right candidate to cultivate their creative capabilities.
