An exciting opportunity for a Pupil Support Teacher to establish and maintain an enhanced support class in the Secondary department at Breadalbane Academy.

Breadalbane Academy is an inclusive school with an enhanced resource to meet the needs of young people in the school within a small group setting.The needs are wide ranging with individuals requiring support to overcome multiple barriers to learning.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, a strong background of innovative and engaging learning experiences and a knowledge and interest in good practice in meeting additional support needs.

Requirements
The successful applicant will ideally have experience of teaching young people with social and social communication difficulties including Autistic Spectrum Condition.

You will be responsible for managing the learning of young people with a range of additional support needs including  liaison with mainstream staff. You should have skills in delivering learning experiences which are engaging and challenging.

You will be able to display skills in collaborative working and working with parents in a supportive and engaging manner.

You should have a range of strategies to ensure that young people are healthy, safe, engaged and achieving.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading and managing support for young people in the enhanced class and working collaboratively with multi-agency partners and other staff within the school.

You will be supported by a pupil support assistant and other staff to ensure that young people's needs are met.
