Teacher of ESOL/English and Basic Skills (Adult Learning)

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, committed and inspirational teacher to teach a range of courses for adults. Qualifications provided by the college include; ESOL at levels from pre Entry to Level 2, English and Maths courses E1 – L2, and IT from E2-L3. The successful candidate will have an appropriate teaching qualification and be qualified to degree level.
If successful, you would play a vital role in the College, which was graded as ‘outstanding’ in all categories by Ofsted in 2017. We excel in providing a broad, inclusive and high quality education to all of our learners, which has resulted in some of the highest levels of progression to Higher Education in the sector. In 2017, Joseph Chamberlain College achieved A level pass rates of 99% for the fourth year running and the best results in the history of the College.
The main College is situated within easy reach of Birmingham City Centre, with community venues being within a 5 mile radius of the main site.
We were featured in the 2015 Parliamentary Review for best practice in further education and were awarded the CPD Mark last year for our comprehensive package of innovative and high impact professional development. We were also shortlisted for the 2017 TES Sixth Form College of the Year Awards.

Salary will be on the pay structure of the Colleges Teachers’ pay scale. Teacher’s salary ranges from £23,396 - £38,748 per annum, (pro-rata if part-time), dependent on experience.
