An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding teacher to join our thriving and successful Trust, to teach Food and Nutrition in KS3 and Hospitality and Catering in KS4 at Langdon Academy. The department already makes an important contribution to our outcomes for students as well as to the richness and diversity of academy life. However, both are areas of further potential growth and provide professional opportunities for a suitably skilled and dynamic colleague.
We’re fortunate in already having a strong team in place and in being able to offer excellent facilities with a view to developing them further as the department secures a greater curriculum share in KS4.
Langdon Academy is a large 4-16 school, with over 1700 students in the secondary phase, and is part of Brampton Manor Trust, along with Brampton Manor Academy (an outstanding 11-18 Academy).
We have more than consolidated our position as a very successful school, but that’s not enough. The other school within the Multi-Academy Trust (Brampton Manor Academy) is one of the highest performing schools in England and it is our collective responsibility to match that standard.
In a school where “pupils make substantial progress in most subjects because teaching in those subjects is routinely outstanding”, and where “pupils behave well, work hard in lessons and are keen to succeed” (Ofsted May 2019). Our students deserve and mostly receive excellent teaching. If that’s what you offer, we’d be keen to hear from you. You will be joining a team with experienced and dynamic leaders who will support you through the next stages of your professional development.
This post would suit a NQT or a more experienced colleague looking to broaden their experience.
