Job overview

LVS Hassocks is a multi-award winning specialist school for neurodiverse young people aged 11-19.

The successful candidate will be qualified to degree or higher diploma level and have a teaching qualification enabling them to teach up to GCSE level and above. Experience of teaching and supporting neurodiverse young people is necessary.

Class sizes are typically no larger than eight students and each class has a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The role demands the application of specialised teaching approaches, systematic planning and record keeping and the management and deployment of support staff as well as good ICT skills.

The Teacher will be a Tutor for a form group and support them with pastoral, parent contact and report writing duties including attending EHCP reviews.
