Trinity Catholic High School seeks to appoint a talented and dynamic Part Time Teacher of Food & Textiles to work within our hugely supportive and successful Technology Department. We have an excellent Catholic Ethos with a strong leadership team.  

Applications are welcome from candidates interested in posts between 0.3FTE and 0.6FTE. The school has the capacity to alter the size of the post.

The Part time Teacher of Food & Textiles position is available from September 2019.  The Department offers BTEC Home Cooking Skills, GCSE Food Technology and Child Development, Food Technology and Health & Social Care at A level.  The HE department achieves outstanding results at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level and all classes are taught in mixed ability groups from Year 7 onwards.  

Trinity Catholic High School prides itself in the following:

• An outstandingly successful and oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with 1725 students on roll.  

• A Specialist Science and PE College and holds International School Award status. 

• Continuously achieving outstanding results at GCSE and in 2018. The Progress 8 score of +0.47 is significantly above the national average and places the school in the top 20% of schools nationally. The percentage of students at 5+ in English and Mathematics is 64% and well above the national figure of 39.9%. 89% of our students attained the standard pass in both English and Mathematics and 106 grade 9s were awarded across the subject areas.

• Judged as outstanding in both the December 2014 section 48 inspection and then again, for the fifth time in succession, as outstanding by OFSTED in March 2015.

This post would be suitable for an experienced teacher who, feels they can make a significant and positive contribution to the Food & Textiles Department and the school as a whole.

Trinity Catholic High School is a denominational, co-educational secondary school in Woodford Green, Essex. There are 1660 students on the school roll, 464 of whom are in the sixth form.

Founded in 1976, the school’s motto is "In Christ We Shall Flourish". Its most famous former student is Olympic gold-medal-winning athlete Christine Ohuruogu.
