An oversubscribed and exceptional school with an outstanding reputation is looking to appoint a part time teacher of Food Preparation and Nutrition. Full time is available if you are able to teach another subject that the College has a requirement for. Please include details of other subjects on your application form and indicate whether you are applying for a full or part time position.
The successful candidate will join a friendly, supportive, experienced and creative Design Technology department and will teach the subject to groups of motivated and enquiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4. There is also an expectation to teach smaller groups of Key Stage 5 students the importance of a balanced diet and how to prepare dishes as a non-examined life skill. The candidate will also enjoy the support of an excellent technician in a well-equipped purpose-built space.

The College is situated in Bishop’s Stortford within the beautiful landscaped grounds of a former teacher training college and is within 30 minutes of both London and Cambridge, with Stansted Airport just 10 minutes away. We have a roll of 900 students, both day and boarding, including a Sixth Form of 250 students.
Hockerill offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma as the sole course of study in the Sixth Form, with GCSEs and the (IB) Middle Years Programme in lower years.
