We are looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic part time, permanent KS3 Teacher of Food Technology. The post would be for four days per week in our over-subscribed school and Sixth Form and in future the role may require the delivery of KS4 Food e.g. NCFE Food and Cooking or BTEC Hospitality and Catering.

The successful candidate will have the support of an experienced Food Technician and the Head of Design and Technology for planning and delivery. The Food room is well equipped and you will be joining a friendly and hard-working team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is committed to inspiring and motivating students’, promoting innovative and engaging teaching and where support is always available from colleagues within the department. This role would be suitable for an NQT or equally a more experienced teacher.

The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:

• QTS;

• a broad base of subject knowledge;

• the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• a clear vision for a knowledge-rich curriculum;

• the ability to employ a range of teaching and learning

strategies;

• the ability to maintain good classroom behaviour;

• effective interpersonal skills and the desire to work

• effectively as part of a team;

• ability to demonstrate suitability to work with children

and young people.
