Tes are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Food Technology on a full-time permanent basis from January 2022. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an 11-16 school with over 1300 pupils on roll. The school very much values positive relationships with families as, together, they can make a real difference to the lives of their young people. The school joined a renowned trust that has an excellent track record in supporting schools and they hope that this partnership will enable the school to drive improvements and secure even better student progress and outcomes.
The school are looking for a highly skilled individual, who is either an experienced classroom teacher or an NQT looking for a challenging and rewarding position. Most importantly the right candidate will be someone who wants a challenge to make a difference in their school. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the knowledge, drive and passion to be an outstanding Teacher of Food Technology.
Purpose:
- To teach exceptional lessons that engage and challenge all students, whilst creating a supportive and stimulating learning environment in the classroom. To make a significant contribution to the values and the ethos of the school and actively promote and uphold all school policies.
The successful candidate:
- Qualified teacher status
- Degree in relevant subject
- Recent and relevant CPD
- Experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment.
- Experience in reflecting on and improving teaching practice to increase student achievement.
- Evidence of continually improving the teaching and learning of their subject through schemes of work
- Excellent classroom teacher with the ability to reflect on lessons and continually improve their own practice
- Effective behaviour management, with clear boundaries, sanctions, praise and rewards
