Job overview

We require a well qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join a thriving Food & Health & Social Care / Design Technology Department whose courses are highly popular at both Key Stage 4 and in the Sixth form with students achieving excellent results.

Cramlington Learning Village is an exciting place to work and offers excellent ICT provision and staff development opportunities. You will need to be interested in teaching across the full 11-18 age range.

Based in Northumberland, Cramlington Learning Village is a mainstream secondary school for children aged between 11 and 18. It is non-denominational. The school has gained academy status. At the moment, there are around 2000 students being educated at the establishment situated in Cramlington. There are around 300 students between the age of 16 and 19 at the school.

Cramlington Learning Village aims to educate each child based on their individual needs. Teachers should look for the strengths of the students and challenge them when necessary. The school’s motto is “education is done with and by our students rather than to and for our students". The school has high expectations for its pupils and hopes they work hard to achieve their goals. Teachers will help everyone develop new skills, no matter what their background.

They use the information they gather to help staff to further focus their teaching and support for pupils. Pupils are well behaved, aware of the needs of others and proud of their school.
