The successful candidate be a Teacher of Foundation Studies and work as part of a team within the school to deliver the excellent provision provided in Year 7. You will cater for and address the needs of students in your group to deliver an effective Foundation studies programme to build resilient and confident students, ready to embark on their Year 8 journey and beyond. The role will involve working directly with the Director of Learning and leaders in the Foundation Studies team to continue to develop and deliver the Year 7 curriculum. In addition, the successful teacher will work with the Director of Inclusion & SENDco, the Director of Behaviours & Attitudes and the Director of Safeguarding & Wellbeing to meet the needs of all students. Additionally, you will work alongside an extensive pastoral team, as well as the wider teaching staff in order to build curriculum links and strategies, with the other Foundation Studies teachers, to support the learning journey of students. We are a small, yet expanding school, with around 560 students in year groups 7-11. We’re looking for a teacher with a proven track record of success in improving standards and raising pupil outcomes. We want to hear from talented teachers looking to extend their experience.

As a member of the Foundation studies team, you will work with the current members of staff and the Director of Learning with oversight of the department to develop an exciting curriculum that suits every type of learner and have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of our young people. The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and motivational skills.
