This is an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join Truro School. The successful candidate will be an inspiring linguist, relishing the opportunity to teach languages across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 to equip pupils with the lifelong ability to communicate with others in a foreign language and experience of cultural diversity. With a strong languages background, the strongest candidates will also be able to offer the teaching of French and Spanish to KS4, with an ability to teach Spanish up to Key Stage 5 as desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will be joining a strong team of linguists and will themselves be an outstanding classroom practitioner, or will show the potential to become one. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of bespoke departmental teaching and learning resources to support lessons for all ages. They will show an active interest in the development of pupils’ knowledge, skills and enthusiasm beyond the classroom.
