Are you somebody who believes that all learners can be successful; aspires to put the needs of learners at the heart of everything that you do; and sees yourself as a learner?

We are seeking an engaging and reflective Teacher of French, who has the ambition and aptitude to develop young people into linguists. The role will offer you the opportunity to develop your teaching skills within a highly cohesive and innovative team in this ambitious school. Professional learning is a very high priority and we will be committed to your further development.

The MFL team is highly collaborative and has skill, experience and commitment. Our students are engaging and positive, and they enjoy learning languages, with very good uptake at GCSE. The post is suitable for NQTs or more experienced staff. The ability to also teach Spanish would be welcome but is not necessary.

Wheatley Park is situated just outside the City of Oxford, and is a vibrant and supportive school with a track record of improvement and innovation in recent years. In June 2016 the school was graded “Good’ by Ofsted inspection, with much positive feedback and we are a Google Reference School with creative and innovative practice in the use of computers and IT in the classroom.

We have a mixed rural and urban intake and we are well supported by our community, who recognise the considerable improvements that have taken place in recent years. Our students are happy at school and motivated to succeed, and our staff work well together, providing a collaborative and professional ethos.
