In September 2019 we become the only Studio School in the country to admit students in years 7 and 8. 

To meet the needs of our growing intake we are recruiting an experienced outstanding  French Teacher who inspires a love of modern foreign languages to join our dynamic team of staff.

Working on a beautiful 750 acre country estate, our students specialise in animal and land based learning, within a rural context. Conservation and environmental awareness are vital aspects of the curriculum.

 In partnership with Kingston Maurward Agricultural College, young people have the opportunity to complete their 11-19 studies, within a fully operational, commercial environment, which provides hands on learning in the rural industries.

 Our KS3 interdisciplinary approach to learning will be delivered in a Forest School context, which includes extensive outdoor learning and opportunities for work experience in Years 10 and 11.

You will be, or will have the potential to be, an outstanding teacher who inspires a love of modern foreign languages in your students and who is able to deliver the exceptional results which we have come to expect from our students. We can offer you support from an excellent team of colleagues where morale is high, fantastic facilities and young people who genuinely want to learn.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake appropriate checks in order to be offered the post as well as providing proof of your right to work in the UK.  We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to respect this commitment.  The post is subject to receipt of satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

The Dorset Studio School opened in September 2014, welcoming students to a brand new specialist school designed to equip young people with the skills, knowledge and experience they require to succeed in work.

Dorset Studio School offers this new concept in education, where 11–16 year olds can benefit from a different model of learning that captures and channels potential to the highest levels. Dorset Studio School is an Academy and part of a national network of similar schools supported by the Studio Schools Trust.
