The Governors wish to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of French to work within our Modern Languages department as it moves into the next stage of its development. Ashton Community Science College is an 11-16 mixed school with 800 pupils on roll and was rated as Good by Ofsted in the last inspection in 2018.

We are an ambitious school that has high expectations and our goal is to be an outstanding High School and we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified teacher to teach across the full ability and age range, who is committed to raising standards by inspiring learners. If you believe that young people deserve nothing less than the best and have the passion, drive and ambition to make a difference as a teacher in a key subject area, you would be a welcome addition to our school family.

We have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, energetic and innovative teacher of MFL to join our highly successful team of mutually supportive colleagues whose shared purpose is to inspire and challenge all students at Ashton Community Science College. If you are creative in the ways you work with young people and passionate about your subject, we would welcome your application. With good subject knowledge the ideal candidate would be able to teach French at KS3 and KS4.

·        Have a strong desire to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school

We welcome applications from experienced or recently qualified teachers who have an enthusiasm for their subject and for working with young people. They should have a real interest in a wide range of teaching and learning approaches and enjoy working in a team. The ability to teach another language is desirable but is not essential. A full programme of support is available as part of our commitment to investing in high quality staff.
