We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented teacher to join a thriving Geography department. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate extensive subject knowledge, have the ability to inspire and motivate students to work independently and be an enthusiastic advocate of geographical matters. A commitment to a full and inclusive extracurricular programme are essential, in particular, all department members are expected to attend field trips.
This is a part-time position and is available from September 2018. The post involves teaching across the age and ability range from Year 7 to Year 13, in the region of 12 out of a possible 30 periods per week (0.4 timetable). In addition to teaching, the post-holder will also have pastoral responsibilities within their allocated year group.
In addition, an opportunity to teach General Studies or Cambridge Pre-University Global Perspectives may be available for the right candidate.
All teaching staff are expected to contribute to the pastoral and enrichment programmes of the School. All staff share the responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the students, in accordance with the School’s safeguarding policies.
