We require a dynamic and well-qualified full-time Teacher of Geography to join this thriving Humanities faculty from September 2022 or sooner if possible. The successful candidate should be passionate about geography and eager to enhance students’ knowledge of the world around them. They should have the opportunity to deliver a well-planned curriculum across Key Stage 3 and 4 and have access to a wealth of resources across Key Stage 3 and 4. The subject is growing in popularity and is attracting significant numbers of students opting to study the subject at GCSE, and potentially at A-level. Therefore, the aptitude to teach a wide range of abilities is essential.

The successful applicant will join a collaborative and supportive Humanities faculty focused on equipping pupils with the knowledge and skills required to be ambitious learners.

The governing body is looking for a committed, strong and enthusiastic individual who displays outstanding teaching and can ensure that all students make excellent progress. The successful candidate will display a mix of creativity, innovation, and will be able to inspire and motivate students. They will display a passion for the subject and be able to foster an enjoyment of geography within their lessons. We are also looking for someone who will contribute to promoting the subject outside of lessons, building on previous extra-curricular activities such as our 2020 trip to Iceland. This is an exciting time to join the school and build on the continuing success of the faculty.
