Job overview

Congleton High School (CHS), a member of The Learning Alliance Trust, is a rural school located in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Recognised by Ofsted as “An inclusive school where you aim to get the best out of everyone”, we have a strong team ethos, with students and staff alike welcoming the opportunity to help others succeed. Staff members work collaboratively together with each other and with students and parents to build strong relationships and improve outcomes for all.

The Humanities Team at Congleton High School has a long track record of outstanding examination results and will be looking to appoint a candidate who can build on these high achievements. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to teach Geography to Key Stage 5.

The Humanities Team is a well-established and hard-working department with a philosophy of sharing resources and collaborative working. A feature of Humanities is strong student-teacher relationships with staff regularly running after-school revision sessions and extra-curricular clubs. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and uphold the departmental ethos is therefore essential.
