PolyMAT is a small and ambitious MAT with a unique family feel. Our vision is ‘Success for Everyone’ which places inclusion and well-being at its heart. We currently have two schools in our Trust: Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, a long-successful boys’ school, and Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls that opened in 2019 and will comprise Years 7 – 11 from September 2023. We also have our flourishing Sixth Form provision which is co-educational. We are looking to appoint an exceptional teacher of Geography with a dynamic and inspirational approach to teaching, an individual that will become an integral part of our successful Humanities department. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both Key Stage 3 and 4, with the potential to teach A Level. Geography is a popular subject at GCSE and results are consistently above national averages. The school location is excellent for fieldwork opportunities and our exclusive Humanities building has access to two computer suites.  We would like a teacher who believes in collaboration both for students and when working with colleagues. ECTs are well supported with an individual mentor and a extensive CPD programme.

 

 

We are looking for a teacher who has: 

·               A genuine aptitude for teaching Geography, which is clearly demonstrated in the classroom

·               A proven record of delivering high-quality lessons resulting in excellent outcomes.

·               Ability to work within and add value to an already highly effective and motivated team. 

·               The ability to develop and constantly modify exceptional practice in-line with a continually changing climate. 

·               A desire to further raise overall achievement and success of Geography within the school.
