Job overview
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher of Geography to join our very strong department. The department has a strong track record of delivering high levels of achievement. The appointed candidate will teach across all ability ranges at KS3-KS4 and possibly at KS5. Geography is a very popular subject at KS4.
Ernest Bevin College is an 11-19 boys school with a mixed sixth form of 350 students based in state of the art buildings especially in STEM subjects, and with good transport links. Our last Ofsted inspection in October 2011 judged the school to be OUTSTANDING.
In 2017, 65% of pupils obtained both English and Maths at GCSE, 33% obtained the Ebacc and over a 100 pupils out of a cohort of 150 have gone to University, over 60 in STEM related subjects. We are one of only 4 schools in the country to have been awarded STEM status, the only school in London to have a Combined Cadet Force on site and we have recently formed Cricket Academy.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and staff. The position is subject to a DBS check.
The job description, person specification and application form can be found on our website. Visits to the college are welcome.
