An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and inspirational Teacher of Geography to join our Humanities Faculty. Applications are welcomed from newly qualified teachers as well as those with more experience. A TLR as ‘Leader of Learning’ in Geography can be made available for a suitably qualified colleague.
You will be joining a successful and well established Humanities team, and you are warmly invited to visit our school to meet other members of the department and see for yourself what a great place St John Fisher is to work.
We are an over-subscribed Catholic 11-19 mixed school with nearly 1200 students on roll (approximately 200 in the Sixth Form). The school was founded to help parents to provide a Catholic education for their children, and this remains our founding principle. We are committed to showing Christian care and concern for all staff, students and parents.
St John Fisher is going through an exciting period of transition and change under the guidance of a new Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. We are creating opportunities for staff to be involved in a range of national teaching projects that will have a clear impact on teaching and learning and student progress in school.
Over the coming months, this will make St John Fisher a breeding ground of innovation and create numerous opportunities for self and career development for our teachers.
This therefore presents a wonderful opportunity for the successful candidate to help us to shape and drive this vision from its beginnings and in turn receive access to a quality CPD programme that will transform learning at our school.
St John Fisher is a nurturing and caring Christian community that provides fantastic career development opportunities. We look forward to hearing from candidates that are motivated by this vision and want to join a school that encourages students at every turn to exceed their potential.
Application forms and further details forms are available from the school website and should be returned to firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on Monday 26th February 2018.
St John Fisher Catholic High School is committed to the protection of our children and to best practice in the recruitment of staff.
