The role:

We are looking to appoint an individual who has the passion and enthusiasm to engage children through the love of Geography. If you are looking to make a difference to young persons’ lives, and work in an Academy that invests in your professional development too, then Bloxwich Academy could be for you.

Bloxwich Academy is a ‘good’ school with increasingly oversubscribed pupils on roll as a result of the quality education and pastoral provision offered here. Every child is an individual and we strive to ensure every can be the best they can be. With the increase in roll, we are looking to appoint another quality colleague to join our expanding Humanities faculty. Our Geography department is fantastically resourced with a supportive team who are always eager to seek new challenges. We Aim to ensure our young people become rounded and successful citizens in their future career paths.

About you:

• A passion for Geography with strong subject knowledge
• A good/outstanding classroom practitioner with an understanding of how children learn
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate inspire and support colleagues and children.
• A commitment to raising aspirations a progress for all
• Has the ability to teach across the age range, previous exam success is desirable
• Has a passion to make a difference in pupil’s lives.
