We have a commitment to providing the best opportunities to all students and to developing the professional skills and career opportunities of our staff, within a supportive and collaborative environment.

At Graveney, we are committed to delivering a broad and exciting curriculum to all of our students. We are a school with the highest aspirations and ensure exemplary standards of behaviour. We consistently achieve outstanding examination outcomes at both GCSE and A level, however we believe in far more than academic success. Our curriculum encompasses a full range of experiences that will develop the students into confident, resilient and successful young adults with the prospect of a great future. In an increasingly digital and automated world, we believe that studying Computing is vital to ensure our students can access future job opportunities in this field. Therefore all students study the subject until Year 9 and we are proud that many students opt to continue this into GCSE and A level.

We are looking for an outstanding, inspirational and committed teacher to join our Geography Department. Applicants should be a well-qualified and passionate Geographer, who is willing to work as part of a collaborative department to deliver engaging experiences to all students. Geography is taught throughout KS3 as a single subject and is a very popular option at KS4 (WJEC/EDUQAS B) and KS5 (Edexcel).

The department is committed to delivering high-quality fieldwork opportunities to all students. A suitable candidate will have a keen interest in fieldwork and understand its importance to the discipline. You will be expected to teach across the full age and ability range and work with other colleagues to ensure all students make excellent progress and Geography continues to flourish at the school.

Our standard loading factor is 22/26. Where a teacher’s timetable comprises less than 22 teaching periods, they will be required to cover other classes.

Applications are welcome from suitably qualified and experienced teachers; NQTs are also welcome to apply.
