Teacher of Geography with RE - Maternity Cover

Oxclose Community Academy are seeking to appoint a talented and inspirational Geography Teacher who will challenge, engage and motivate students of different ages and abilities within a friendly and supportive Humanities Department. The successful candidate will be able to deliver Geography at both KS3 and KS4, and also teach RE at KS3. Candidates will be expected to have excellent subject and curriculum knowledge, high expectations of pupils and enjoy working as part of a dynamic team. 

The successful candidate will be able to inspire and motivate students to achieve excellence and demonstrate the drive and skill to raise standards of students’ attainment and achievement. They will also be able to monitor and track student progress and use a range of intervention strategies to promote pupil progress, as well as manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe learning environment.

You would join our successful Humanities department in September, working alongside staff who are all passionate about delivering a high quality and engaging Geography curriculum to our pupils in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. 

This role would suit an NQT or an experienced teacher.
