Job overview
Full time, One year fixed term contract initially
Arnold Hill Academy is an inspirational place to work with excellent sporting and academic facilities. The large academy campus is located in a pleasant, suburban area of Nottingham and has benefitted from the opening of our brand new building with fantastic sports facilities. The standard of education we offer students in the PE faculty is hugely successful, and we enjoy positive relationships and an atmosphere extremely conducive to learning. All our staff are aspirational for themselves and their pupils. This is reflected with strong GCSE and A Level PE results last year.
We are looking for a committed, dynamic and dedicated teacher who will be teaching mainly girls PE. The successful candidate will be joining our enthusiastic PE team in our new state-of-the-art building which opened in September 2016. There has been heavy investment in new sports facilities both inside and out giving us the opportunity to provide positive experiences for our pupils
Our ethos is that sport should be accessible for all and lessons are carefully designed to take into account all levels of ability. The successful candidate will have a range of sports interests and skills and experience of working with examination groups could be an advantage.
Arnold Hill Academy is part of The Trent Academies Group which includes Rushcliffe School in West Bridgford and The Farnborough Academy in Clifton, and is continuing to grow. This partnership provides fantastic opportunities for teachers to develop their practice and skills within schools becoming part of the Group.
Applications from experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome. We offer a full induction programme, excellent preparation for the next stage of your career and a rich menu of extracurricular activities. We are fully committed to fostering a love of learning in all pupils and certainly play a significant part in ensuring that ‘Everyone is given the chance to shine brightly.’
Arnold Hill Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
