St John Fisher Catholic High School is an 11-18 comprehensive school with a rich Catholic ethos. There are 780 students on roll including the Sixth Form. The school was judged Good by Ofsted in October 2013 and again in November 2017.
We wish to appoint an outstanding and inspirational Teacher of Girls PE to join our highly successful and committed PE team. The post will suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher. The successful candidate will be able to:
• Teach outstanding lessons in PE across all disciplines and all key stages
• Show skills to inspire and motivate students
• Demonstrate a passion for teaching and making a real difference to young people
• Have a commitment to safeguarding and child protection
The ability to offer a second subject would be an advantage, but is not essential.

St John Fisher Catholic High School is a co-educational voluntary aided school based in Peterborough for students aged 11-18. It is a Roman Catholic school.
The school has a vertical tutoring system, meaning tutor groups consist of a mixture of students from Year 7 to Year 13. There are 32 tutor groups with an average number of 20 to 25 students in each group.
The school’s sports facilities include a floodlit pitch, tennis and netball courts and a sports hall. The school also has a strong tradition in music, both vocal and instrumental, and has several rooms where students can practice.

St John Fisher Catholic High School firmly believes that celebrating students’ achievement motivates them to achieve their potential, both inside and outside the classroom. Consequently, the school’s merit system has been reviewed and updated and students who perform to a high standard throughout the year will be given the opportunity for a reward visit to a theme park. The school’s house system is also intended to provide a community spirit for the students and competitive events.
