Job overview

We are looking for a well-qualified, dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Girls’ PE to teach across the ability range from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. You will have a passion for PE that will enthuse, engage and motivate our students and will want to become part of a highly successful team which delivers a wide range of extra-curricular activities. The ability to offer teaching in subjects beyond PE would be welcome, dance would be preferable.

We have a good range of PE facilities: a Sports Hall, an Activities Hall (shared with exams), a fitness suite, a foot golf course, extensive playing fields, OAA course and four changing rooms. Currently, there is one Cambridge National group in Y10 and one group in Y11: as well as a group studying Cambridge Technicals at Level 3.

National Curriculum PE is taught for two hours per week across both KS3 and KS4 and Sport is a popular option choice at levels 2 and 3.

Paget High School is a mainstream, state-community, co-educational, non-denominational, secondary school for children aged 11-18. It is situated in Burton-on-Trent in Staffordshire and there are 700 pupils on its roll.
