A new and exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Hair and Beauty, with Functional Skills – English.

We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of Hair and Beauty and Functional Skills - English, to join us as we launch our new fully equipped health and beauty training salon. 

The input of the successful candidate will ensure this innovative alternative learning provision will provide our students aged between 14 and 16 years old, with quality education and practical health and beauty training to attain the Hair and Beauty VTCT Technical Award and the Functional Skills Certificates – English.

You will be highly motivated and committed to meeting the diverse needs of students, improving outcomes, enhancing inclusion and support, and the Trust values of inclusivity and personalised learning.

The Hastings Academy is a co-educational secondary school for students aged 11-16, located in Hastings, East Sussex. It first opened its doors in 1952 as a secondary school for girls called Hillcrest. In the early 2010s it changed its name and moved to a new purpose-built site.

The Hastings Academy is a smaller-than-average secondary school with around 900 pupils. It is part of the Hastings Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust that operates a number of schools across the region, at both primary and secondary level.
