Salary: MPR or UQT (would consider either qualified or unqualified teachers for this post)

Hours: Part-time/full-time - negotiable hours

Reports to:   Director of Creative Arts and Industries Faculty

Closing date:   Monday 26th June 2023 @ 5pm

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic part-time/full-time Teacher to join Ormiston Horizon Academy to plan, prepare and deliver Hair/Beauty lessons to our Years 10 and 11 students. Applications are welcomed from either qualified teachers or unqualified teachers with appropriate previous experience. The successful candidate will join our friendly and supportive Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries. (Full-time would be considered, which would consist of part-time Hair/Beauty teaching plus general cover lessons.)

Ormiston Horizon Academy is a successful 11-16 secondary academy (part of the Ormiston Academy Trust).

Variation Clause

This job description will be reviewed and updated periodically in order to ensure that it relates to the job performed, or to incorporate any proposed changes. This procedure will be conducted by the Principal/Manager in consultation with the postholder. In these circumstances it will be the aim to reach agreement on reasonable changes, but if agreement is not possible management reserves the right to make changes to the job description following consultation.

Fluency in English

The post is covered by Part 7 of the immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
