Your new role:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Health & Social Care to join the increasingly popular Technology department. The department is growing in strength and popularity with pupils and includes Health and Social Care, Child Care, Food Nutrition and Product Design. Whilst we are primarily looking for a Health and Social Care specialist, any experience of teaching Child Care and/or Food Nutrition would also be most welcome. Your enthusiasm, commitment and flexibility will be important as you work within this dynamic and popular subject. You will be committed to improving the learning outcomes for all pupils in the school.

What you will need to succeed:

A successful candidate would be a Health and Social Care specialist equipped with the knowledge and skills required to deliver the BTEC and CamTEC courses with experience of assessment and moderation at Key Stages 4 and 5.

Candidates must have a passion for Health and Social Care and have a desire to educate pupils of all abilities. Familiar with subsequent career options you will be able to motivate and inspire our pupils. You will be highly organised, able to radiate creativity and enthusiasm in the classroom, whilst developing strategies to maintain consistently high expectations of both yourself, and the pupils. You may have experience of teaching Child Care and Food Nutrition and be subsequently aware of the importance of Health and Safety in the classroom.
