The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic teacher to join our outstanding Humanities Department. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher or have the potential to become an excellent teacher in the very near future. The successful candidate must be able to teach History to all levels and Geography to KS3 level.
Cardinal Newman School is an 11-19 mixed Voluntary Aided school, with 800 pupils currently on roll. The school is over-subscribed. The school has an excellent reputation for both our academic results and our pastoral care. We are a Central South ‘Hub School’ offering school to school support to other schools in the consortium. We are a Welsh Government ‘New Deal’ school. We achieved 69% L2 Threshold (Including Maths and English) in 2016. We are ‘Standards Group One’ and a ‘Green School’ in the new Welsh Government categorisation. We consider ourselves an ‘Excellent’ school and eagerly await having this confirmed in our next inspection.
