The Godolphin and Latymer School is one of the country’s leading Independent Day Schools for Girls with excellent facilities, located on a six acre site in Hammersmith. Our girls are bright, motivated and inquisitive and subjects within the History and Government and Politics Department are highly popular.
From September 2017, the School seeks to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of History and Politics to join a highly-qualified, experienced and passionate department of ten, to teach part time for the equivalent of 0.6 or 0.8 of a full timetable.
The majority of our girls study History up to and including IGCSE and both History and Government and Politics are popular A-Level choices, as is History within the IB Diploma Programme. Girls not only achieve outstanding examination results, they also demonstrate a genuine interest in these subjects when making their public examination choices. The department also contributes fully to the enrichment activities available to girls throughout the school.
This is an exciting opportunity for a new entrant to the profession or an experienced colleague looking to broaden their experience. The school runs a training scheme for unqualified graduates, enabling them to gain a PGCE and QTS status.
The salary awarded will depend upon qualifications and experience.
