TEACHER OF HISTORY (TMS)
Required from September 2018
Would you like to be part of a school where the strengths and talents of students and staff are extremely valued (Ofsted February 2018)
Would you like to work in a school where the culture of being happy and safe means pupils can, and do, enjoy being at school (Ofsted February 2018)
Are you an outstanding teacher with the passion and motivation to inspire young people?
If so, then you will not want to miss out on this golden opportunity to join our high-performing school, which recently retained its Ofsted Good rating, as Teacher of History. The person appointed will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who will join a Humanities team at an exciting time of its development.
Why come to Latimer?
This is a fantastic school to work in: as a result of our success and popularity we are over-subscribed and have a very strong positive reputation. On interview we ask candidates for their impressions of the College and without fail they comment on how wonderful our students are, the supportive team ethos amongst staff and how friendly and welcoming the College is.
We are a tight-knit unit striving for the very best for our students and we are focussed on, and passionate about, learning and success.
We genuinely care about our staff, their well-being and their professional development: we are a happy team, committed to working collaboratively and sharing the very best practice. This was very much recognised in our recent Ofsted Inspection.
If you are an outstanding History teacher it really is worth applying for this post. We are seeking to appoint a candidate who is passionate about their subject area; a team player who will thrive on collaboration and team-work; someone who really wants to make a difference!
This post has come about due to our growing student numbers and we are primarily looking for an applicant who can teach History at KS3 and 4. The ability to teach the subject to KS5 would be of interest to us. There may be a requirement to teach the other Humanities subjects of Geography and RS at KS3.
We welcome applications from NQTs and we run a highly supportive and successful NQT programme. If you are a trainee and looking for a post from September 2018, we would love to hear from you. We also have a strong track record of leadership development and succession planning for an ambitious candidate who is keen to progress to leadership in the future.
For an application form and further details, please contact Ms Ridley, Principal’s PA, on 01536 720310 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date: Tuesday 22 May 2018.
The Latimer Arts College values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
