Congleton Multi-Academy Trust (Cmat) is situated on the edge of Congleton in South East Cheshire, serving families from Congleton and parts of North Staffordshire. It includes Congleton High School, Black Firs Primary School and Castle Primary School. Teachers are expected to contribute to projects working with schools across the trust.

Congleton Multi-Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an inspirational and well-qualified History teacher with strong subject knowledge to join our experienced teacher. In summer 2018, Congleton High School achieved the highest Progress 8 score in Cheshire and has an impressive track record of high achievement. The school has a strong Staff Development and Induction Programme and places high importance on staff well-being.
The Humanities Team at Congleton High School has a long track record of outstanding examination results and will be looking to appoint a candidate who can build on these high achievements. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to teach History across all key stages. The ability to teach Geography at Key Stage 3 would be an advantage.
The Humanities Team is a well-established and hard-working department with a philosophy of sharing resources and collaborative working. A feature of Humanities is strong student-teacher relationships with staff regularly running after-school revision sessions and extra-curricular clubs. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and uphold the departmental ethos is therefore essential.
