Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to work in a successful and well-resourced department to teach History across the age and ability ranges to ‘A’ level.

All pupils study History in KS3. The GCSE and ‘A’ level take up in History and Politics at A level is impressive. You will teach History across all three Key Stages and possibly contribute to Politics teaching in the Sixth Form.

Applications from experienced, recently qualified and newly qualified teachers welcomed.

Alsager School is a fantastic place to work with motivated and well behaved students, a committed and experienced governing body, dedicated staff and supportive parents. Children of all abilities make impressive progress throughout the key stages.

Alsager is one of the highest performing schools in Cheshire East. In 2016 72% of students achieved 5+ GCSEs A*-C including English and Maths. In addition our Progress 8 and value added data is very strong.

If you think you can contribute to the department’s future success, either contact Annette Owen, Personnel Manager, on 01270 871100 or download the relevant files from the school’s website: www.alsagerschool.org and email your application to us.

Closing date:  12 noon on Tuesday, 18th April 2017

Interviews: Friday, 28th April 2017
