TEACHER OF HISTORY (MPS)

September 2019

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and highly motivated teacher to join our thriving humanities faculty.  We are looking for someone who is dedicated and keen to share their enthusiasm for the subject with students.

You will be committed to outstanding standards in teaching and learning and you will have a passion for working with young people.  It is an ideal post for a newly qualified teacher or someone looking to further their career.

The history department is part of a larger, well-resourced humanities faculty and the subject is a popular choice at GCSE and A level.  The capacity to offer a second subject would be an advantage as would the ability to teach history up to A level.

We can offer excellent working conditions, a supportive environment and plenty of opportunity for further development, at one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country.  The superb facilities include an on-site nursery and a sports complex with subsidised membership for staff.

Further details and an application form are available on the school website (www.thomas-hardye.net).  Please send your letter of application together with a completed application form to Mrs Anita Pullen (Headteacher’s PA) by the deadline, Friday 26th April.

The Thomas Hardye School is committed to Equal Opportunities and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Closing Date: Friday 26th April.
