TEACHER OF HISTORY

Salary - MPR

Required 1st September 2017

Are you an outstanding teacher of history whose passion for the subject inspires others?

Would you relish the opportunity to join a highly successful, forward looking history team that is committed to doing the very best for all students?

We are looking for a high quality history specialist, with a commitment to continuing professional development, to join our outstanding history department.

The post is suitable for either an NQT or a more experienced teacher.  You would be required to teach up to and including G.C.S.E. history.  A level teaching could be available for a suitable candidate.  As part of the school’s humanities specialism, history is a highly valued subject in the curriculum.  It is one of the most popular options at both KS4 and KS5 and boasts a proven track record of success at both key stages.  At G.C.S.E, 78% students achieved A*-C in 2016.  The department also successfully delivers A-level government and politics.  All history teachers have their own classrooms, with projector, interactive whiteboard and internet access.

Potential candidates are most welcome to visit the school before submitting an application.  Please contact Mrs Barnby, PA to Headteacher, on the school number to arrange a visit.
