This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic NQT or an ambitious, experienced teacher seeking to develop their career in a successful and highly supportive environment. You will be teaching History throughout KS3 and KS4 with the ability to teach Geography at KS3.The History department is a strong team with a track record of success and passionate about creative, engaging teaching and learning. The ethos is one of high expectations with a wide variety of exciting enrichment activities in place. History is a very popular subject with very good results for students of all abilities. The quality of teaching and learning is good. The personal development of all staff is a priority. There is a comprehensive induction programme and excellent opportunities for high quality CPD. History is part of a thriving Social Sciences Faculty where Geography, RE, Sociology, Psychology, Child Development and Health and Social Care are also taught.

Harwich and Dovercourt High School is an 11-18 Academy with 1200 students serving the town and immediate area.   The school was inspected in June 2016 and judged good by Ofsted. This is an attractive part of the country with excellent links to London and the Continent.
