We are looking for a Teacher of History to join an outstanding department at this major London day school.
UCS is a leading academic school with a distinctive ethos and an enviable reputation for pastoral work as well as for sport, music, drama and other extra-curricular activities.
The History and Politics Department is extremely impressive in terms of its public examination results and record of Oxbridge success and strong pupil uptake of the subject at all levels. The department has a reputation for an innovative approach to teaching and learning and a deep commitment to subject enrichment outside the classroom.
Applications are welcome from experienced and newly-qualified teachers, and the ability to teach A Level Politics may be an advantage. UCS offers a statutory induction programme for NQTs and its own salary scale which is well above that of the maintained sector. Applications from those without a formal teaching qualification will also be considered. UCS can offer full support and training leading to Qualified Teacher Status.
Further details and application forms are available from www.ucs.org.uk/current-vacancies or from the HR Department on 020 7433 2147 and firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing date: 12 noon, Monday 26th February 2018.
UCS is fully committed to the safeguarding of children. All applicants for this post must be prepared to undergo child protection screening.
