Here at Lode Heath School, we’re on a mission to further develop all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment. Now’s your opportunity to help us achieve our ambitious goals as you work within History as part of our wider Humanities Faculty to deliver an exceptional learning experience.
Following continued success over the last few years, the community trusts us to deliver an excellent education. In turn, we are working to develop Lode Heath as a learning hub for everyone in that community; as you support your students and team to thrive, so we’ll support you to progress your career with us. The ongoing training and development of our staff is a key priority, which is why you’ll enjoy a bespoke CPD programme ‘by teachers, for teachers’ that’s built around your particular talents and aspirations. And the sharing of best practice is both encouraged and common-place.
Within this refreshingly collaborative and team-focused culture, colleagues work together towards shared goals. Our aim, quite simply, is to make sure that pupil achievement is at the very heart of everything we do.
Nowhere is this truer than in our Humanities Faculty. The team is forward thinking, ambitious and successful and is highly motivated to achieve the best for all our students. We work closely together to balance a more traditional curriculum alongside an innovative and dynamic programme which brings History to life and develops students’ wider skills like team working and self-management so we look forward to welcoming fresh thinking and new ideas to contribute to the leadership of this
As a Teacher of History, you will be a highly effective classroom practitioner who is ready to contribute to our successful team to ensure even higher attainment and more positive learning experiences for our students. You may already have some experience or this might be your first position as a teacher, but your commitment and desire for excellence will be clear.
If you’d like to be part of our exciting future, you will need to share our belief in educating the whole person - and in helping every student, irrespective of their background or abilities, to build the skills, confidence and independence they need to thrive in higher education or the workplace.
There’s an exceptional environment waiting for you outside of work too. One of the most prosperous towns in the Midlands, Solihull offers plenty of superb amenities from its thriving shopping center through to lively bars and first-class restaurants. Close to Birmingham Airport, the NEC and the new Resorts World development, it also has excellent transport links to Birmingham city center and beyond.
Lode Heath School is a member of the Arden Multi-Academy Trust where we are committed in working together to help and enrich the experiences of all within the AMAT family; we have a clear vision to generate self-belief, self-worth, esteem and confidence in our young people who can then display the ambition and aspiration in achieving high educational outcomes.
