The International School of Madrid is seeking to appoint a teacher of History to Advanced Level to commence work in September 2017. Ability to offer a second subject at Advanced Level such as Economics or Travel and Tourism an advantage.

Now home to over 800 students aged between 3 to 18, the school follows the English National Curriculum and is known for its child centred approach, happy atmosphere and excellent standards of academic achievement. The school is conveniently located in the heart of Madrid in the residential area of Arturo Soria/Charmartín. The school is a member of NABSS.

The successful applicants for the teaching post will:

  • Have a teaching qualification that is recognised in UK schools (such as a PGCE)
  • Have recent experience in a UK secondary school or an overseas school following the English National Curriculum
  • Be a fluent English speaker
  • Be eligible to work in Spain (have an EU passport)
