We are seeking to recruit an inspirational, professional and highly skilled Teacher of History. We follow an innovative thematic approach to History in KS3 which has been developed with the Institute of Education. Students at GCSE cover the AQA (America 1920-1973, America in Asia, Medicine through Time and Elizabeth I) syllabus and OCR is our examination board for A-Level. The successful candidate will be joining a successful, friendly, supportive and high achieving department. Interest in our 6th Form is at record levels and our A level subjects receive over 17 applicants for each place available. We have an excellent professional development programme for ECTs. There is a possibility of an additional allowance for an exceptional candidate who can take on additional responsibilities for our PSHCE curriculum. Applicants from a global majority heritage background are strongly encouraged.

Westminster City School is a successful 11-18 Christian non-denominational comprehensive academy for boys with a mixed sixth form. Ours is a vibrant learning community situated in the heart of central London with all the opportunities and advantages of an inner-city school. In March 2022, the school’s OFSTED inspection confirmed that the school remains a ‘Good’ school, but we are restless in our ambition to be ‘Outstanding’ in time for the school’s 150th anniversary in 2027.
