TEACHER OF HISTORY
Required for a September 2018 start
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher of History to join our school. The position will be mainscale, teaching across the age range and would suit someone new to the profession or with some experience looking to move to a different environment.
Golborne is a rapidly improving, thriving and popular school. We have the highest expectations of our pupils and are determined to become ‘outstanding’ in all that we do. Our vision is to become a beacon of excellence at the heart of the community.
This is an ideal opportunity to join a motivated and successful team. We are on an exciting journey and see this as a vital part of the school’s development over the next few years. We are a self-improving school where commitment is to developing and supporting all staff in their career path. We deliver a comprehensive induction programme and encourage all of our staff to be ambitious for their futures. These roles would suit professionals who have the drive and a determination to ensure that all children succeed. The successful applicants will also demonstrate an ambition to develop in their role and embrace the CPD that is available to support them in becoming an outstanding practitioner.
An application form and further details of the post are available from the school website www.golbornehigh.wigan.sch.uk.
It should be noted that it is a requirement of the Governors of Golborne High School that candidates should, whenever possible, name as referees current and former employers (via Heads or Principals where employment at educational institutions is concerned)
