The Stamford Endowed Schools (SES), are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join the very successful History Department at Stamford High School. The post would suit either a newly qualified teacher or a more experienced teacher seeking to develop his or her career.
The successful applicant is expected to teach History to all age groups, including GCSE, and A Level. The ability to offer Geography as a second subject, is essential. There is also an expectation that he or she will contribute to departmental activities outside the classroom, e.g. lunchtime clubs and evening lectures, alongside working closely with other team members in the continual development of lessons and work schemes. A willingness to offer support to other aspects of the extra-curricular life of the school, including boarding, is assumed. Single person accommodation may be available.
