We seek to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated Teacher of History. The ideal candidate for this vacancy will be highly motivated and committed to delivering engaging and inspiring history lessons. If you feel that you have these attributes and skills, and are suitably qualified, then we would like to hear from you. History has a superb uptake at KS4 and is a subject enjoyed by students. The department takes a fully inclusive approach towards delivery of the subject and believe that history is a subject for everyone and that the skills that are developed through the study of history are crucial for young people trying to make sense of the world and their place within it.
The department enjoy first class facilities as a result of a recent extensive rebuilding programme. All classrooms contain a modern electronic lectern with an inbuilt networked PC and visualizer, which is connected to an interactive whiteboard with inbuilt audio speakers. The department enjoys a staff workroom connected to this central teaching space. A dedicated photocopier, scanner and printer is also provided in the area.
We are committed to offering students a positive and enriching experience in history and as such, we deliver a range of extra-curricular opportunities, including clubs after school and regular trips. Recent trips have included locations such as Kenilworth Castle, Normandy and local historical sites of interest including Worcester Cathedral and Gheluvelt Park.
At Tudor Grange Academy, excellent teaching and learning is at the heart of all that we do. Our staff are our most valued asset, therefore professional development is very important to us. We offer a comprehensive CPD programme to enable you to continuously develop your practice in an over-subscribed school where students fall in love with learning, embrace a growth mindset and are successful. It is important to us that we maintain a focus on staff well-being, ensuring that staff maintain a good work-life balance and enjoy what they do.
