Rochester Independent College is Kent’s no uniform, fresh alternative to traditional independent education from Year 7 to Sixth Form. All teaching takes place in informal mixed ability tutorial style groups. Our teachers are experts in their subjects and academically highly qualified. They are lively, motivational and engaging and enjoy the company of young people.
The college is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspiring teacher of History in our Lower School. The ideal candidate will be willing and capable of delivering a vibrant and engaging curriculum for our lower school students and prepare pupils for GCSE examinations. Applications from NQTs and recent graduates are welcome. The successful candidate will show a passion for the subject matter, commitment to teaching, and an ability to communicate effectively with learners, as well as a commitment to maintaining the academic success of the college.
Boarding positions are available for candidates who are looking to relocate and are interested in playing a role in our residential community.

RIC has its own salary scales. All staff have a private medical package after one year of service and income protection insurance after two.
RIC does not require staff to have QTS but is able to support NQTs through their induction year via IStip.
