Humanities Teacher

Capital City Academy are seeking an inspiring teacher to join the Humanities department. The successful candidate will deliver the overall teaching of Philosophy and Ethics A-Level and will be someone who engages & communicates well with young people. You will have the opportunity to transform the experience of education for our students and be integral to personalising learning for individual students.  You will share our vision to enable all learners to succeed and believe in educating the whole person - developing an honest, informed and caring global citizen.  

You will be: 

  • an outstanding KS5 teacher, passionate about your subject.  The following subject specialisms would be desirable: Philosophy and Ethics, Religious Studies, History. 
  • reflective, innovative and good at problem solving
  • committed to maximising the life chances for young people
  • a good communicator, with outstanding organisational skills and the ability to motivate a team
  • interested in social and emotional aspects of learning, young people’s development and behaviour
  • committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
